Best New Hotels in Miami 2014
New hotels in Miami are a dime a dozen, but that doesn’t mean they’re all worth talking about, or, for that matter, staying in. After the Las Vegas Strip, Collins Avenue is the street most known for its large number of hotels. Historic buildings during the Art Deco era of the ‘20s and ‘30s put Miami Beach on the architectural map and earned the coastal city its land of neon reputation. Landmark buildings have shuddered their doors through the years and undergone facelifts, leaving their iconic façades untouched while converting the insides into contemporary wonders. Last year, new additions to Miami’s hospitality roster included The Gale & Regent Hotel, The James Royal, The Trump in Doral, and the swank SLS.

Hippies will feel right at home upon entering Vintro and finding an air stream in the middle of the first floor garden. You’ll think you’re walking into a library when entering the elevator that’s wallpapered with books from top to bottom. Then let loose in your psychedelic chamber where nothing but glass separates the bed from the voyeur shower.
